Karlee was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia on August 6th, 2010 at age 3.
This is her and her families journey through fighting this disease and experiencing the love and support of family, friends and the community. Karlee was in remission within the first week of treatment, which is normal, but still has to complete the full 2.5 years of treatment to ensure the leukemia is gone. As of July 2011 Karlee has completed 8 month of active treatment and has completed the first 3 month cycle of maintenance. She has 7 more 3 month cycles to complete her treatment.
We are truly blessed to have the support of our family, friends, Church, community, nurses & doctors and the Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta as we make our way through this journey.
